Our Mission

Metsada is the Hebrew word for “fortress.” Our organization was formed with the idea of creating a fortress that preserves and promotes families’ freedom in education by supporting and developing projects that enable American families of all backgrounds to exercise these freedoms, which include: Homeschooling; access to unconventional and alternative learning opportunities; access to educational resources that adapt to the child’s specific learning abilities, preferences and skills; and being able to choose from a wide variety of educational options in their own community and other locations.

Our purpose is to support homeschooling families and unconventional learning initiatives in order to preserve freedom in education and expand learning opportunities for children. We have lived up to this purpose by starting educational programs for homeschooling families, such as homeschool collectives, subject-specific learning pods, nature exploration groups, and social settings for homeschoolers. Additionally, we support education entrepreneurs that offer new unconventional learning opportunities.

Metsada is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
